Comment Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Heavenly Home Cooking welcomes comments from people who have questions about a recipe or have made it themselves. Positive and critical feedback can both be helpful when it gives others useful information about the recipe.

To keep the comment section helpful, respectful, and trustworthy, we follow the guidelines below.

Recipe Reviews and Ratings

If you made a recipe, we would love to hear how it turned out. Please base your rating on the recipe as written.

If something did not turn out as expected, include enough detail for us to understand what happened. Helpful information may include:

  • What seemed wrong with the finished dish
  • Any ingredient substitutions or omissions
  • Changes you made to the quantities or instructions
  • The type of equipment or ingredients you used when relevant
  • Any steps that were unclear

Comments or ratings that make a vague complaint without explaining the problem may not be published. We may also decline to publish ratings from someone who did not make the recipe or who substantially changed it without explaining those changes.

Questions About a Recipe

Questions are always welcome. Before submitting one, please review the recipe card, ingredient notes, tips, and frequently asked questions. Your question may already be answered there.

We will do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee the outcome of a recipe when ingredients, quantities, equipment, or preparation methods differ from those provided.

Respectful Conversation

You may disagree with a recipe, technique, or another person’s opinion, but please remain courteous. Comments containing insults, harassment, threats, discriminatory language, profanity directed at others, or deliberately inflammatory remarks will not be published.

Heavenly Home Cooking reserves the right to moderate or remove comments, including:

  • Spam, advertising, or promotional links
  • Comments unrelated to the recipe or post
  • Duplicate comments
  • Ratings submitted without a genuine recipe experience
  • Vague or unhelpful complaints that provide no meaningful information
  • False, misleading, or intentionally harmful statements
  • Abusive, hostile, or inappropriate language
  • Comments containing private or sensitive personal information
  • Content that infringes on another person’s rights

Submitting a comment does not guarantee publication.

Editing Comments

We may correct an obvious typographical error, remove a broken or promotional link, or redact private information. We will not change the substance or meaning of a published comment.

Our Responses

We read the comments submitted to Heavenly Home Cooking and respond when a question or concern would benefit from clarification. While we try to be helpful, we may not respond to every comment or continue an exchange after we have addressed the relevant recipe question.

Our goal is to maintain a comment section that helps you prepare the recipes successfully and make informed decisions about what to cook.
