Peanut Butter Toast

This healthy peanut butter toast is protein packed and makes for a great breakfast on the go. Top it with delicious toppings like sliced dates, chopped apples, apple compote, Nutella, or brown sugar and sliced bananas for a quick, easy and tasty breakfast!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup peanut butter Crunchy or creamy.
  • 4 slices whole grain sourdough bread Toasted.
  • 2 medium medjool dates Pitted and sliced about ¼ inch thick.
  • ½ medium banana Sliced ¼ thick .
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • ½ medium apple Peeled, cored and chopped. Use your favorite apple variety.

    Homemade apple compote tastes great on peanut butter toast also!

  • 2 teaspoons Nutella

Instructions

  • Add the sliced bananas to a small bowl. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top, and heat in the microwave on high for about 30 seconds.
  • Stir to combine. Set aside.
  • Spread the peanut butter on the toasts, dividing equally.
  • Top one toast with banana mixture, one with dates, one with Nutella and one with the chopped apple or apple compote.
