Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. Set aside.

Add milk, peanut butter and sugar to a blender or medium bowl and blend or mix for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined.

Do not overmix. It's okay if a few lumps remain. Set batter aside to rest for 5 minutes. The batter will be thick.

Lightly butter a griddle and heat on medium heat. Add 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form and pop on the surface. Flip and cook the other side.

To make the syrup, add agave syrup and peanut butter to a small saucepan over low heat. Stir and cook until peanut butter is melted. Stir until smooth.

Serve pancakes with syrup and top with whipped cream and chopped peanuts, if desired.
