Ingredients

Seasoning Blend (yields about ½ cup)

  • cup Kosher salt
  • tablespoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion salt
  • ¾ teaspoon paprika

Avocado Tomato Toast

  • 1 small avocado Halved, peeled, and pitted.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoning blend Recipe above.
  • 1 slice whole-grain artisan bread
  • 2 slices tomato
  • ½ teaspoon olive oil
  • pinch sea salt

Instructions

Seasoning Blend

  • In a small bowl, combine Kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion salt, and paprika. Stir to combine. Set aside. Yields about ½ cup.

Avocado Tomato Toast

  • In a small bowl, combine avocado, lemon juice, and seasoning blend until avocado is evenly coated. Lightly mash with a whisk, leaving chunks of avocado. Set aside.
    1 small avocado, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon seasoning blend
  • Toast bread, and spread toast evenly with avocado mixture.
    1 slice whole-grain artisan bread
  • Top with tomato slices, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt.
    2 slices tomato, ½ teaspoon olive oil, pinch sea salt
