Welcome to fudge heaven! I’m calling this recipe Pumpkin Pie Fudge but I think a better name for it would be Magical Disappearing Fudge. Make this fudge and it will disappear into the grateful tummies of all who come into contact with it. This fudge was a huge hit in my house and received a unanimous thumbs up. Even from me. To be honest, I am not crazy about pumpkin pie. However, I wanted to embrace the season and give this pumpkin pie fudge a try. It’s all I can do to stop eating it! Hopefully it will have that effect on you too. It’s not that I’m trying to fatten you up, but occasional delicious treats make life worth living.
I’ll be honest. This is not a no-cook fudge recipe. It’s made on the stove top and the timing needs to be just right. My first attempt failed, but that was because my tripod decided to malfunction on me while I was videotaping this recipe. I was distracted by that and let the mixture cool too much before adding the baking chips and marshmallow creme. That batch of fudge would have made a great paper weight. I did manage to break off a few pieces to taste before it solidified into a sweet-smelling rock. It tasted good but obviously not what one would want fudge to be. The next attempt? Perfection! It’s not that I’m taking any credit for that. You can do it too!
Looking at that plate of fudge sitting there I’m getting hungry for it all over again. I so wish I could give you a sample through the computer screen. All I have to offer is the recipe so that you can try it yourself. Hopefully the photos will tempt you to give it a try.
I even made a video to show you that you can do this. 🙂 Enjoy!
